Sally Hansen Rock' n Wedding

I thought this shade would satisfy the need I have for a better coral polish. The formula is definitely a win, but the color... I'm just not sold on it. Take a look...

Maybe I was looking to hard to fill the void that was Peach from City Color.I was looking for a pinkish coral, and what I got was a pastel terracotta color with peachy-gold shimmer. Don't get me wrong, it's not a BAD color. It's just a little too orange for me. It's been growing on me the longer I wear it, but I just don't LOVE it, you know?

Formula-wise, this polishes is great. I have a few of these, and they've never given me any problems. I haven't picked up a polish from the Diamond Strength line in a while! I was happy to see that the mop brush has been re-styled and cut almost in half. Their old brush was way too wide, but the restyled brush is just right! It's nice to see a company that listens to its customers!

Rock' n Wedding is 1 of 8 Limited Edition Diamond Strength polishes from Sally Hansen. The others are as follows:

01 Opulent Opal
02 Diamond Jubilee
03 Fancy Diamond
04 Brilliant Cut
05 Sparkling Jewel
06 Flawless Pink
07 Gold Setting
08 Rock' N Wedding (shown above)

I found mine at CVS on the nail bar, not in a stand-alone display. I'm not sure if they didn't receive the whole collection, but they didn't have all the colors. I'll have to visit the other area CVS stores to see if I can find the ones I'm looking for. I think a couple of these might have dupes, or even be re-promotes but I'll have to see them in person to say for sure. I saw some pictures on Nouveau Cheap, and Sparkling Jewel looked like it could be a fuchsia version of Aisle Be There. Fancy Diamond looks similar to NYC Fuchsia Glamour and Sinful Colors Glass Pink.

What do you think of Rock' n Wedding?

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027, today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION...

Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and then add in some shimmer and glitter.
