Layering: Gilded Fields

I almost hesitate to call this a layering, because I'm not really sure that any of what's layered inside actually shows through. Nonetheless...

1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler
1 Coat China Glaze Strawberry Fields
1 Coat SinfulColors Gilded
2 Coats China Glaze Strawberry Fields
1 Coat Borghese Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

I've been on this bright polish kick, and was thinking pink, so... naturally, that meant the hottest pink in my stash. Strawberry Fields is part of the core China Glaze collection. It's glowing hot pink with a pretty gold shimmer mixed in. Definitely a must-have in your collection.

SinfulColors Gilded is really pretty. It's got fine gold and red glitter in a clear base. And in this layering, it got completely lost. Seriously. Strawberry Fields ATE it. Had I used more than 1 coat of Gilded, the results might've been different, but I didn't, so they weren't.

So this mani didn't turn out exactly how I expected, but I still like it. I'll definitely have to remember Strawberry Fields for this Effie Trinket mani I've been meaning to try. I think the gold shimmer would lend itself nicely to a pretty gold gradient. :)

What do you think of Strawberry Fields?

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

Zoya Free4You Promotion

It's Zoya promotion time again! This is one sale that I just have to jump on every year. Usually, it's because I try to do a no-buy around the Holidays and I'm just itching to buy all of the polish. I didn't really set out specifically to do that in 2015, but that's how it ended up. So I was pretty excited to get the email about Zoya's one week only Free4You sale!

The premise of the sale is simple, choose 4 Zoya shades, (excluding pre-packaged sets, Naked Manicure, Zoya Treatments, and the Spring 2016 Whispers Collection) enter 4YOU at checkout, and pay just $15 promotional shipping. That's the equivalent of $3.75/bottle with free shipping. Zoya polishes normally retail for $9-$10/bottle, so this is a pretty sweet promotion!

Now I know you're wondering... what shades did I pick out? I thought you'd never ask! I swear, I didn't set out to only order purple and blue polishes. And I know that exactly none of these were on my Lemmings list! That see…
