Wet n Wild Trippin' on the Boardwalk

If you've held off on purchasing a Radiant Orchid shade of polish... this is definitely one to add to your stash! It's a bright, summery take on the Pantone Color of the Year! Oh, and these photos were taken with my iPhone, because Trippin' on the Boardwalk is simply too awesome for my Cybershot to handle... :)

4 Coats Wet n Wild Trippin' on the Boardwalk
1 Coat Color Club Top Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

Trippin' on the Boardwalk is another polish from the Wet n Wild All Access Beauty Collection. It's the purple of the bunch, super-bright and such a great color for summer! The brightness of it makes it glow on my nails... kind of how a flower glows when it's bathed in warm summer sun...

All the polishes in this collection have Wet n Wild's Manicurve Pro Brush, and Trippin' on the Boardwalk was no exception. Although it did have a couple of wonky hairs that I'm going to have to trim. Not the biggest of deals, you know? Application was great... very similar to Love Me Some Muscles. This is a nicely pigmented, yet sheer shade, so 4 coats were definitely necessary. Looking at my photos, I'd probably go back and do a 5th, because there are a couple of more sheer patches, but they're not that incredibly noticeable.

Definitely another winning polish from Wet n Wild... I'm seriously all about this finish! Jelly and creamy all at the same time = Lurve.

Have you spotted Trippin' on the Boardwalk in the wild?

  1. YES! I loved this so much I bought three bottles:). Nicole from Young, Wild and Polished says this reminds her of Sation Tardy Tart, but that "nothing could really compare to her beloved Tardy Tart!" I came too late into the polish game to ever get my hands on it:(. If you have it, can you do a comparison? I agree with you that this is a MUST.HAVE for summer! Love!

  2. I actually don't have any Sation polishes... Tardy Tart looks gorgeous, though! Thanks for commenting!!!

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.  Polishes Used:  1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Out Ridge Filler 3 Coats SinfulColors Mauve On Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line 1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.  Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.  This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd c

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027 , today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION ...  Polishes Used: 1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler 3 Coats China Glaze Violet Vibes Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line SinfulShine Konstellation 2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and

12 MoC: Merry Marsala

Since the announcement of Pantone's Color of the Year 2015, I've been on the hunt for Marsala in polish form. You might think this would be a simple task, but it's actually been quite difficult, and I'm still not 100% there. But this polish is thee best match (and deal) I've found so far. I give you Haze of Love... Polishes Used: 1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler 4 Coats Wet N Wild Haze of Love 1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite   Marsala is an earthy red with an almost equal blend of red and brown. It's a super versatile shade, and depending on what you pair it with, it can lean towards either color. It's a rich shade, but not overly dark, and a little dusty. In all honesty, Haze of Love is a decent enough match, but it could still stand to be muted down a little bit. It's just the slightest bit too dark, now that I look at the graphics and my nail photos so closely together. But how many people are going to put
