SinfulColors Blue La La

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler
3 Coats SinfulColors Blue La La
1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

Yes... another polish from SinfulColors. Also, yes... another blue! I'm not sure what it is about blue right now? Am I channeling cloudless skies and ocean water? Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't really own all that much blue clothing, let alone wear it... but blue nails? I'm allllll about 'em lately. :)

So... I knew when I saw Blue La La at Walgreens, that it had to come home with me. Lucky for me, it was on sale! All SinfulColors and SinfulShine polishes are 99 cents a pop at Walgreens right now. Since my Walgreens isn't really a weekly destination like CVS or Rite Aid... I knew I probably wouldn't get back over for a little while. I've been eyeing up a bunch of colors from their new collections, largely thanks to posts over at Pretty Girl Science and Night Swatcher. So... I may or may not have stocked up, a little lot. (In my defense, two bottles were Clear Coat which I actually needed.)

I do realize that I have a lot of blues in my stash that are similar... but this one is definitely not like anything in my stash. It's almost a periwinkle, but not quite. It leans a little more to the lavender side than my pictures show, and it's really, really bright. Which. I. Love!

Blue La La is part of the SinfulColors Destination Color Chill Out collection, so I'd pick it up if you see it, while you have the chance. You never know if it will end up a repromote or a one time thing... and at $1.99 a bottle (or on sale at 99 cents) you can totally pick up a couple bottles at a time without hurting your wallet too badly!

Have you picked up any of the new shades from SinfulColors?

  1. I bought Sinful Colors Blue La La the other week, your NOTD pictures and way of describing it really makes me want to try it soon.

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.  Polishes Used:  1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Out Ridge Filler 3 Coats SinfulColors Mauve On Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line 1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.  Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.  This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd c

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027 , today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION ...  Polishes Used: 1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler 3 Coats China Glaze Violet Vibes Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line SinfulShine Konstellation 2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and

This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3 In case you missed my review of First Kiss , daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health. Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter sha
