Striping Tape
3 Coats OPI Black Onyx
1 Coat Sinful Colors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

Today's another example of NYFW inspired nails! My striped nails are a mix of negative space and this look from Deborah Lippmann. I'm seriously loving the simplicity of today's manicure, even if my stripes aren't the cleanest up close.

Last night, I purposely started painting earlier, in hopes that I could let this mani dry decently well before adding Seche Vite. I was soooo nervous that the black was going to smear into the stripes. But that actually wasn't the problem. Getting the tape to come off cleanly was! That, and I still managed to get bubbles from the Seche Vite, despite my best efforts. O.o

I don't think I have enough experience with striping tape to really give any tips or techniques just yet. I was able to clean up a couple of the messier stripes with my dotting tool. This definitely isn't as clean of a look as I had imagined, but I still really like it! The best advice I can really give, is to just go slow and have plenty of patience!

ANIMAL PRINT nails are next on the challenge list, and I'm going to do my best to re-create some type of feline animal print on my nails. Wish me luck!!!

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

Zoya Free4You Promotion

It's Zoya promotion time again! This is one sale that I just have to jump on every year. Usually, it's because I try to do a no-buy around the Holidays and I'm just itching to buy all of the polish. I didn't really set out specifically to do that in 2015, but that's how it ended up. So I was pretty excited to get the email about Zoya's one week only Free4You sale!

The premise of the sale is simple, choose 4 Zoya shades, (excluding pre-packaged sets, Naked Manicure, Zoya Treatments, and the Spring 2016 Whispers Collection) enter 4YOU at checkout, and pay just $15 promotional shipping. That's the equivalent of $3.75/bottle with free shipping. Zoya polishes normally retail for $9-$10/bottle, so this is a pretty sweet promotion!

Now I know you're wondering... what shades did I pick out? I thought you'd never ask! I swear, I didn't set out to only order purple and blue polishes. And I know that exactly none of these were on my Lemmings list! That see…
