Before July of this year, I had never seen or heard of Bonita nail polish. A display popped up at my local Rite-Aid and I took a chance, mainly because I liked the bottle shape! Four months later, and Bonita is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands! I blame the shimmer...

Normally, I don't really like the shade of pink that Monet's Garden happens to be. But, again... I blame the shimmer! It turns a rather ordinary dusty rose into a gorgeous polish that is growing on me the longer I wear it. Honestly, I'm such a sucker for pink polish, this really shouldn't surprise anyone, lest of all, me!

So... yeah. Monet's Garden is a gorgeous shade, part of Bonita's Fall Colorful Palette The Artist Collection. I picked up Florence and Da Vinci Code when I got this one, and picked up Starry Night today. We're not even going to talk about the storm before the calm that is going on right now at Chez Sparkle. I blame the NO BUY that's on the horizon...O.o

OH... I almost forgot! I've used the Royal Fruits scented Top Coat from Rainbow Honey the past two days, and I'm seriously loving it. Royal Fruits is an amazing scent to begin with, and it translates nicely into the polish. Not overbearing at all. AND... I paired it with Royal Fruits cuticle balm, so my nails smell deeeeelicious at the moment!

Have you picked up any Bonita polishes lately?!?

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027, today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION...

Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and then add in some shimmer and glitter.
