3 Coats SinfulColors Black on Black
1 Coat SinfulColors Twilight Twinkles*
1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

The Holiday season and these "brilliant flakes of gold" were meant to go together! This gold flake glitter topper is a great way to add a whole lot of luxe to your manicure! Twilight Twinkles contains a mix of small gold hex, gold square, and gold flake glitter in a clear base. Just one coat adds a bunch of sparkle!

Compared to Galax-Sea, the glitter flakes in Twilight Twinkles are definitely a little thicker, but you should be okay if you use 2-3 coats of clear before your quick dry top coat. For my photos, I used only 1 coat of clear and 1 coat of Seche, but this is actually the 3rd time I've worn Twilight Twinkles. I got it pretty smoothed out in a jelly glitter sandwich, and in yesterday's mani. (Which, thanks to operator error and a squirrely little Peanut, I ended up with crazy smudges, so today is a bit of a mulligan!) As much as I really like the way this mani looks, I can't wait to see how these glitter flakes look layered with some of my other Holiday polishes! (pssst... The 12 Manicures of Christmas are coming!)

Twilight Twinkles is part of SinfulColors Holiday 2014 Collection. You can find it in the SinfulColors Holi-Dazzled display, available exclusively at Walgreens for $1.99 a bottle! The full collection also contains Decadent, Galax-Sea, Hottie, Let's Talk, Out of This World, Pine Away, and Sugar Sugar. Follow SinfulColors on Facebook and Twitter

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027 , today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION ...  Polishes Used: 1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler 3 Coats China Glaze Violet Vibes Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line SinfulShine Konstellation 2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and

This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3 In case you missed my review of First Kiss , daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health. Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter sha

Fishbowl Friday 072 // Hard Candy

We're going to skip that whole part where we talk about how it's been a while, because well, it's been a really long while. I'm still trying to work out how to make room for blogging and juggle everything else, and it's definitely been a challenge. But know that I am working on it, and I do really, really miss it. This place has been my Quantum of Solace for a long time, and I'm not planning on letting it go anytime soon. That being said... for this week's prompt, I was happily surprised when I pulled HARD CANDY . This is probably one of the most iconic brands of nail polish, and it's certainly gone through it's own number of changes throughout the years. Who didn't want to own a bottle of Sky once they saw it on Alicia Silverstone's nails way back in the 90's? Last year, Hard Candy celebrated their 20th anniversary by bringing back some of their most iconic shades. The collection was a mix of five original shades and three new ones.
