Rainbow Honey Grayscale

Let me introduce you to my new favorite shade of gray polish... a gorgeous, shimmery beauty that definitely needs to be added to Rainbow Honey's regular lineup. Because I need more. Definitely a full-size bottle and a backup to keep it company!

Shimmer is one of my favorite finishes when it comes to nail polish. I love glitter toppers and sparkles that bling from afar, but there's just something about shimmers. And this one? New. Classic.

Gray polish and I are totally having moments left and right lately. I'm not sure what it is about gray, but lately, I'm reaching for it a lot more than normal. For me, it's totally become the new black, and I think it has a lot to do with the more muted color tones that we've seen this season. Black sometimes feels too harsh and cold, but gray? It's a little softer, a little more feminine, and yet, still a bit edgy. Add in a mix of soft champagne and platinum colored shimmer, and just watch me swoon!

For the first time since I've been ordering the Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag, I regret getting the mini size. I must have more of this polish. One coat was a little splotchy, two was almost opaque, and 3 was just right. There's a slight sheerness to the finish that leaves Grayscale in between a crelly and a creme. Jellier than a creme, but creamier than a crelly, and absolutely brimming with an icy blend of sparkles that somehow warms up Grayscale, rather than cooling it off.

I'm seriously loving this polish, and was sad to take it off last night, but I've got the Manicures of Christmas to attend to! I've got no idea if this polish will be available for purchase outside of the Mystery Bag in the future, but here's to hoping!!!

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027, today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION...

Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and then add in some shimmer and glitter.
