Today is a very weird day. Not sure if it's a full moon or something... (just checked, it's not) but today is just a blah kind of day. Oddly enough, the temps are rising in my neck of the woods, but it's a cloudy, rainy day. Maybe I need sunshine? Or a nap??? Or both?!?

Le Sigh.

On my nails today is another polish from Wet n Wild's Silver Lake Collection... Reject the Mainstream. Which is oddly fitting, given my mood today. It's a lovely bright lilac-y lavender creme. Definite Spring and Easter vibes coming from this one!

Aaaaaaaand if you've been looking high and low for the Silver Lake collection... good news! G. from Nouveau Cheap received a couple of sightings of the Silver Lake collection from Spoiled at WalMart. Wet n Wild is their parent company, and although usually there might be renaming involved, they chose to keep the names of these shades the same for the new Spoiled polishes! I found my original Silver Lake set at my local K-Mart, and then found a new display on Monday at Rite Aid. (I had to pick up another A Latte Love... I'm in love with it!!!) I've yet to check my local WalMart to see if the Spoiled couterparts are there, but rest assured if I spot them, I'll update this post. And I'll probably pick up another bottle or 2 of A Latte Love.

Or 3...

...orrrrrrrr maybe Wet n Wild could just add it to their core? Please and Thank You!!!

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027, today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION...

Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and then add in some shimmer and glitter.
