Polishes Used:

1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler
4 Coats SinfulColors Purple Diamond*
1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

When I first tested this polish out on a swatch wheel, I think I must've been half asleep or using a different polish. I had the idea in my head that it was really sheer, more along the lines of a sheer topper. Thankfully, I tested it out again before using it in a layering and found that not only did it have a lot of shimmer, it had great coverage. I quickly scrapped the plans to layer it so Purple Diamond could shine all on its own!

Application was great, Purple Diamond was easy to manage with very little cuticle pooling while polishing. I probably could've stopped at three coats, but I was a little worried that my yellow tips might show through. I always prefer to err on the side of one coat too many rather than one coat too few! I really love this shade of lavender. It's a really feminine shade, and the shimmery glass-fleck finish adds a lot of fun! So much so, I actually wore this for two whole days, which rarely happens!

Purple Diamond is part of SinfulColors Class Act All Nighter Collection. You can find it on display at Walgreen and other mass retailers for $1.99 a bottle. The full All Nighter Collection also contains Blue Sensation, Casablanca, Daredevil, Fig, Glass Pink, Ice Dream, Late Night Haute, Night Owl, and Sinful Sunrise. SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.  Polishes Used:  1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Out Ridge Filler 3 Coats SinfulColors Mauve On Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line 1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.  Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.  This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd c

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027 , today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION ...  Polishes Used: 1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler 3 Coats China Glaze Violet Vibes Essie Leggy Legend Pahlish Autumn People Pure Ice Get in Line SinfulShine Konstellation 2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and

This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3 In case you missed my review of First Kiss , daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health. Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter sha
