#31DC2015 016 // Geometric

After giving myself and my stamping plates a day to breathe, I went back at it last night! So many of the plates in my collection contain GEOMETRIC designs, but this is one of my favorites. There's something about shard patterns and deconstruction that I just love...

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler
3 Coats SinfulColors Black on Black
3 Coats Zoya Tomoko (accent only)
Bundlemonster Plate BM-208
Zoya Severine
2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat (accent only)
1 Coat Seche Vite

Lately, when I think GEOMETRIC, it's always black and gold. Art Deco a la Gatsby when it comes to the color combo, just without the symmetry and right angles. This particular design from BM-208 is easily one of my favorites!

One thing I love about this particular mani, is that it looks way more complicated than it actually is. The more intricate stamping designs always give off that vibe. Then, add in a little bit of gold and a glitter accent nail for a really luxe look!

In other news... every time I wear Zoya Tomoko, I wonder why I don't own more Zoya PixieDust polishes! I love a good glitter accent nail, but a textured glitter accent nail? There's at least twice, if not three times the amount of sparkle! More of these would definitely be right at home in the sparklestash! :)

I'm never one to pass up a pink polish and if the name of this doesn't say it all, the color definitely does! This is quite possibly the most perfect shade of light pink I've come across. And you all know how I love the color pink! <3

In case you missed my review of First Kiss, daniPro polishes were created by Manhattan Podiatrist Dr. Gary Evans. The formula is 5-free and the polishes are recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association to promote good foot health.

Forever Pink is more of a crelly polish, so I had to use 5 coats to build up to the opacity you see in the pictures. Because of the sheer formula, it was a little patchy until about the 4th coat. But once this polish is opaque, it's a really gorgeous shade of pink and the crelly finish really made it shine. I've been into lighter shades on my toes lately…

SinfulColors Mauve On Seriotype

Whether you call it a seriotype or smooshy... (I prefer seriotype) there is just something about this style of manicure that I can't get enough of.

Hey there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Life happens, you know? Oddly enough, I didn't stop painting my nails during my hiatus. I kept taking pictures for a while, and then that just sort of stopped to. Weird how some habits die hard, while others don't change a bit.
Anyhoo... I found pictures of this mani in my files and couldn't believe I didn't share it! This was one of my favorite polishes last spring, and I recreated this exact seriotype/ a few times.
This mani started out with 3 fresh coats of Mauve On. I typically wrap my tips on the 2nd coat and add a 3rd for balance. Next, I ad…

Fishbowl Friday 073 // Recreation

Every now and then, I enjoy looking back over past manicures. Creatively, it's just neat to see how far I've come since the days I started. Oddly enough, when I chose this prompt, I knew exactly which manicure I wanted to recreate. Based loosely on Fishbowl Friday 027, today's seriotype nails are a RECREATION...

Looking back, I can honestly say that my seriotype game has come far since I first learned the method. One of the things that took me a while to master was the balance of nail polish finishes. While seriotypes made exclusively with creme polishes look cool, those made with a combination of different finishes really pop. There's more depth involved when you layer a metallic over a jelly neon and then add in some shimmer and glitter.
