As promised, I stuck to my plan of painting HALF MOONS over my GLITTER nails...
Polishes Used:
GLITTER manicure
1 Day of Wear
1 Coat OPI Indigo Motif
1 Coat Pure Ice Busted
1 Coat Pure Ice Oh, Baby
1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite
I love the fact that HALF MOONS came right after GLITTER. It meant that I got to wear my glitterbomb a little bit longer. And then I wore them for an extra day, because I'm seriously procrastinating WATER MARBLE, as usual!
Last year, I used binder reinforcement stickers to create my HALF MOONS. This year, I painted the bottom portion of the moon rather than the top, so I used regular french manicure guides. Oddly enough, I did the whole pink/purple combo last year too. I'll try to remember not to do that next year!
Since I was wearing a decently translucent jelly glitter sandwich already, I turned to my OPI Colorpaints. I wanted the glitter to stay visible through my HALF MOONS, but I also didn't want to add many more coats. I painted on one coat of Indigo Motif and pulled off my guides.
Next, I added a coat of Pure Ice Busted, followed by a coat of Oh, Baby, just on my moons. I added a coat of SinfulColors Clear Coat and then topped everything off with Seche Vite.
While I didn't necessarily not like this mani, I didn't really love it either. I think that's probably because I just loved the original so much. I could've worn that one for days! But that's the way of the 31 Day Challenge...
